    7zip File Is Broken

It's fairly safe to assume that the file parts just need to be concatenated together. The easiest way to do this is within 7-Zip - navigate to the folder in the 7-Zip file manager, right-click on the first file in the sequence, and select 'Combine Files.' From the context menu. It can also be easily done on the command line. We use readme.txt (1565 bytes) We use readme.txt (1565 bytes) Cannot Open File As Archive Rar I could provide a working Cannot Open File As Archive Fix Archive file which contains more than one file in it. And in that case probably there are no Metadata or does it have to be trusted. Hide my response here for that corruption case.

I downloaded a 9gb 7Zip file and one of the files is broken. The developer of the said stuff provided another 7zip file with the file actually fixed. However, when I try to drag from one archive to the other or delete one of the files before extraction it says 'Operation not supported'. Anyone know how to fix this? It won't let me extract the first 7zip, it just freezes when it gets to that broken file.Edit: In before someone mentions it, I know I could get it to work by extracting manually everything but that file but I'm really looking for a faster way.

I zipped up a large number of files (over 2000, equaling about 185MB) several years ago into a 7z file. When I try to extract anything from it, I receive 'Data error in. File is broken.' For every single file in the 7z file. Not just a couple, every one of them.If I open the archive, it appears fine, it shows the original file size, modified date/time, attributes, etc.I tried to extract the files using Winrar, and I get a slightly different error.

Winrar complains about 'Checksum error in. The file is corrupt.' I do not have the original files.

I stupidly deleted them shortly after creating the 7z file, without testing the archive first. Is there any way to recover these files? Is there a way to force extraction? Have it ignore the checksum? One thing I noticed, if it matters, is that there were a few.exe files included in the archive. They extract just fine.

Looking at the files in the viewer, the.exe files show a different method and a different block from all of the other files.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.Jason.
